Wirth's Circus Scrapbook
In 2023 I conserved this incredible object at Arts Centre Melbourne which involved treating nearly 300 pages. Catch a glimpse in this video of the amazing photos inside the Scrapbook. Such an important object that tells many stories of the period 1900-1950
Retouching
These photographs show a retouching treatment on a small watercolour c.1840s. Neither the sitter, nor the artist are known, so she is quite mysterious. The work had a substantial amount of surface loss, most likely caused by silverfish.

Conserving the Blaeu Map
This video showcases a conservation project I was involved in at the Grimwade Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation in 2017. The treatment was on a highly significant map, Joan Blaeu's Archipelagus Orientalis, sive Asiaticus, 1663, owned by the National Library of Australia. Layers of varnish and grime were removed and the fragile paper was stabilized.
